Harthill Primary School

‘A school at the heart of its village’

Mrs Jeffery Y3/4

Welcome to Mrs Jeffery's class

What a wonderful first half term the children and I have had. I am looking forward to the next half term with the children and especially the run up to Christmas.

PE will now take place on a Monday and a Thursday so please ensure PE kits are in school on these days.

Our focus text for the next half term is Flat Stanley. The children will be using the contents of this book to support their English written work.

In mathematics, we will initially be moving on to multiplication and division.

As part of our wider curriculum, we will continue our study of Christianity. as you may know the children recently had Reverend Gary visit the school and answer some of your children's questions. the pupils then visited the church where Reverend Gary talked to the children about different areas of the church and their uses.

Year 4 Swimming All our Year 4 children from both classes will be starting swimming at Aston Sports Centre for 12 weeks every Wednesday afternoon from December. Letters will go out shortly to explain the process and to gather information about your child’s swimming ability.
All Hallow’s Church Services We have organised the dates to take our children up to the church for this school year and have changed the time to allow English and Maths to be taught in the morning sessions in school. Health and Safety regulations in the church limit us to approximately 50 parents (who can be seated).
