Harthill Primary School

‘A school at the heart of its village’

Parents as Partners

Who are Parent Partners?

We are a mixed group of parents and carers who don't have any special skills other than a wish to help "make things happen” for the benefit of all children at Harthill Primary School. We meet in the community room, each half term, usually on a Wednesday between 9.00am until 10.00am.

Working in partnership with school over several years we have made a positive difference by;

  • Improving schools communication with parents
  • Discussing  parental concerns and new initiatives in school
  • Providing regular feedback to improve polices for example; homework, behaviour and school dress code.
  • Creating an A-Z booklet for parents, of parent’s frequently asked questions and responses.
  • Introducing a pre loved second hand uniform sale
  • Shopping and preparing food for Christmas Parties and discos
  • Suggesting ideas to improve children’s experiences at sporting events with other schools

Over the last two years we have been proud to support our school in gaining the ‘Rotherham Charter Gold’ accreditation. This year we are planning to develop our page on the school website by providing more information for families. If you have any suggestions please share them with us, either by coming to a meeting or by using the ‘Suggestion Box’ which can be found in the ‘Parent Information’ area in the main school building.

Come and Join us, we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
