Maths - Ordering Fractions

Following on from our work last week today we would like you to order fractions with different denominators. Watch the video below to help and then have a go at the questions on the worksheet. There is also a flashback to complete too please.

Reading - The Jabberwocky by Lewis Caroll

This week we are going to study a poem by Lewis Caroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland.  The Jabberwocky is a nonsense poem and as such contains many words which are made up.  Today we would like you to listen to Michael Rosen perform the poem before you read it.

  • Listen to the poem at least 3 times.
  • Even though you won't understand all the words think about what you know has happened (some of Michael Rosen's actions may help you).
  • Write a brief summary of what has happened in the poem - no more than 15 words if possible.
  • Draw a picture of what you imagine the Jabberwocky to look like.

Please can you ask someone to test you on last week's spellings and email in your score.   There are a few certificates from last week to put on our celebrations page - keep your eye on it to see if you are on there.

We can't wait to read your writing this week after seeing your ideas on Jamboard. Please watch the lesson before writing your introduction paragraph.
