It's Friday! Today we would like you to start the day with a spelling check from our weekly list. Please get your wipe-board ready (or exercise book if you prefer), and ask your grown-up to help pause the video below. Any you find tricky you can practise. Tommy will be cheering you on! It would be great if you could e-mail us to let us know how you've done.
Main English activity based on The Messy Magpie
To end our learning on The Messy Magpie, we would like you to design a poster to encourage more people to reduce, reuse and recycle.
You can either present this in your exercise book, a separate sheet of paper, or on Purple Mash using a paint tool.
Remember to colour neatly in the lines and write words clearly.
To finish off our week of counting on; we would like you to go through the powerpoint with your grown up. Some of the sums you will find easy peasy but remember think about adding up the ones first and use your knowledge of number bonds to help you.
Number bonds to 10 are pairs of numbers that add to make 10 are: 1 and 9, 2 and 8, 3 and 7, 4 and 6 etc .. as an extra challenge it would be good to see if your child can tell you the number bonds that make 10 and 20. If they find it tricky; start them off at 0 then 1 then 2 to encourage a more systematic way of working.
