‘A school at the heart of its village’

Friday

ENGLISH

It's Friday!!! Please get your wipe-board, pen and rubber at the ready to have a go at checking your spellings with Tommy. If you get stuck with any, have a go at learning them in a fun way - can they be written in fridge magnets? Can your grown-up write it on your back using their finger? Can you write the spelling with a stick in the mud?

Y1 Spelling Check with Tommy #2

After your Spelling test with your grown up; we would like to complete the week with a bit of fun! All week you have been thinking about the text '10 ways to help save the world', today we would like you to choose one of the following activities; have a go at making or finding then write to tell me what you have done and why in sentences. There is no need to print out the sheet, it is there to guide you in writing about what you have found.

Activity 1: Electricity scavenger hunt

OR

Activity 2: Bird feeder making

MATHS

Today is a day for investigating! GOFOR IT MATHS DETECTIVES :)

There are 2 activities below; 'Noah' and 'Eggs in baskets' both are great thinking challenges. They will both need you to talk with a grown up and maybe get some resources like cubes or toy animals to help you.

Have a look with your grown ups at both investigations and use all your knowledge gained from this week about number bonds, adding and subtracting numbers too to see if you can investigate  and even solve the problems.
