Look at your poem you started yesterday; read it out aloud with your grown up and change any words you don’t think sound quite right. This is called editing and improving.

Today we would like you to finish your poem and send us a picture of it.

As an extra challenge; Send in a video of you reading one of the poems you have written this week or one of your favourite poems from a book you have. We will then create a class collection of written poems and videos and share them when we are all together again.

Have a listen to the one we wrote in school on Thursday.

The poem we wrote together in class- Dog on our playground

Finally, a great story for you all to enjoy: Arnie the Doughnut read by Chris O'Dowd

Have a go at these 2 games to start today's Fun Maths Friday!

Ordering numbers game

Use your number cards, ask a grownup to mix the numbers up – don’t peek! Then, see how quickly you can put them into the correct order. You could ask your grown up to time you and then see if you can get faster when you try again. This is called 'ordering and sequencing numbers'.

Then take a few out and shuffle them up- how fast can you order them now? If you have any scrap pieces of paper; write some bigger numbers on and order those too!

Hide and Seek numbers;

Ask your grown up to hide the number cards 1 to 20 around your room, house or garden. See if

you can find all 20 and place them in order. You could ask someone to tell you a number to find. Can you remember what the number looks like and find it?

Have a go at the activity which is all about ordering and thinking about numbers then if you're feeling like a challenge- can you count in 2's?
