Our School Day
School can be accessed from 8.40am via the gates on Union Street or Pryor Mede.
​
The school day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm. Children are met in the playground by a member of their classroom staff.
​
All children will be dismissed by a member of staff at the end of the school day.

Breakfast and After School Clubs

We offer a range of clubs at the end of the school day . These clubs give our pupils the chance to explore a wide range extra-curricular activities in a fun and social environment. In addition to our after school clubs we offer a full wraparound childcare service from 7.45am until 5.45pm each day. Click here for full details.

Childcare Vouchers

If you receive childcare vouchers through work, you can use these to pay for our after-school wraparound care, breakfast club and after school clubs. Contact the school office to see if we are already signed up to your scheme or to set this up.

Medical Information

There is a growing concern for parents with the increase in numbers of Scarlet Fever and the invasive Strep A in children. Please click on the link below for Government guidance.
School Uniform
Every child is expected to come in school uniform each day. Children may wear plain uniform or uniform with the school logo. Anyone wishing to purchase school logo clothing can do so online at myclothing.com and also from Pinders in Crystal Peaks Market.
Please mark all your child's clothing with his/her name. Any items that are misplaced can then be easily returned.

Girls & Boys: White/sky blue polo shirts or white school shirts , grey or black trousers/skirt, navy blue sweatshirt/fleece/cardigan, sensible black school shoes. Optional summer uniform: black or grey shorts/blue & white checked gingham dress,

​PE Uniform
Plain white t-shirt, black or navy shorts/leggings/jogging bottoms, navy sweatshirt/fleece, trainers for outdoor PE.

You will be informed of your child's PE day and children should come to school wearing their PE kit.

Other Useful Items
Refillable water bottle and book bag - these items must be brought to school every day.
School branded refillable water bottles can be purchased for £1.00 via school Money and collected from the office.

Jewellery
Wrist watches are permitted but any additional features such as messaging, recording, internet access MUST be disabled, during the school day.
Only stud earrings are permitted in school and children must remove or cover them during PE sessions with micropore tape provided by parents.

Further Guidance
Whilst we recognise the desire for children to be fashionable, smart and tidy, some hairstyles can be a distraction in school. We ask for your support in sending your child to school with an acceptable hairstyle.

Nail varnish or false nails and Makeup must not to be worn in school. ​
Lost Property
Please ensure you child's name is inside each item of clothing, including outdoor coats.
The school cannot accept responsibility for personal items at school. Please speak to the class teacher and the school office regarding any missing property. If your child brings home the wrong article of clothing by mistake we would appreciate it if you could ensure that it is returned to school the next day.
School Meals
Our chosen school meal provider is Dolce who offer exciting new menus each term.
All meals are pre-ordered from home through SchoolGrid and can be ordered daily or up to a full term in advance. Please note the cut-off time for ordering meals is 9.30am to allow enough time for meal preparation. Please click on the links for more details and to place an order.
If your child brings a packed lunch to school, please be aware that we are a nut-free school as we have a number of children with serious allergies. Please do not include things which contain nuts in your child's lunch box/bag.
Forms and Documents
