Monday 22nd June 2020
It has been mixed weather lately but I have kept busy keeping in contact with everyone, updating the class page, emailing and phonics families and brginning to write reports. Some things have started to reopen and after giving it a week, I visited McDonald's, I couldn't resist!
My belly is getting bigger as baby is growing. It is taking a bit of getting used to as some clothes don't fit and I struggle to bend down and tie my shoes. Sliders have been a game changer! I had my first hospital appointment since lockdown to check on baby and it was daunting as I and all the staff had to wear a mask. It was hot and a little hard to get used to. The nurse checked his heartbeat, my pulse, blood pressure, weight and measured my belly! He's growing perfectly and moving LOADS which are all good signs. My hat goes off to all of the workers and staff in the NHS. Their efforts and care are unwavering and have been key in trying to maintain some sort of normality during my first pregnancy.
It was great to celebrate Father's day yesterday. I went to visit my dad and step dad which was nice to be able to socialise in the garden. We had an ice cream and a drink and talked about the things we had been up to. I hope you enjoyed your Father's day in lockdowna nd were able to do something nice, stay safe and well

We have been so lucky with the weather!
I have been out in the garden int he afternoons checking on plants and trying to get some of my grass to grow back. The grass had died after our conifer roots had grown underneath and taken a lot of the water. Also the dog has been running up and down and worn some areas away. I have also taken some large plants and shrubs our of the garden and replaced them with soem smaller more colourful things in pots.
Ben has taken to baking! Hooray! He has made brownies several times using the recipe from 'the good food, best ever brownies'. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/best-ever-chocolate-brownies-recipe
We found the recipe by asking our smart speaker. The brownies are yummy but remember to eat in moderation, they're super chocolatey and rich!
Bump update - he's getting bigger and moving around lots.
I hope you are all safe and well at home and are enjoying the sun and keeping up with learning. I am missing you all so much. It is so nice to receive emails and photos from yourselves. These really put a smile on my face throughout the day. Don't forget my email,
Don't be a stranger, send me an email message or add photos and videos and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I have had so many lovely emails already :D
Keep up the great work and stay positive!

This week the weather has changed a little. Bring back the sunshine!
I think I am going to get out into the garden and started taking up some rocks and our old grass, with help, as with having a dog some parts have worn away. I am hopefully going to put an edging down, prepare the soil and plant some grass seed. I am hoping this comes through and looks better than the grass there before.
This week I have have added things onto the class page for you to have a go at at home. I have had lots of emails with photos of fantastic work that has been sent which I have added to the 'WOW work' section. Take a look to see what the rest of your class have been up to! I have also been updating the school Facebook page with pictures from the whole school and what they've been up to at home. It's great to see people so busy, happy and active during these times.
Don't forget my direct class email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to email me.

Today the weather is looking very different. It is dull and threatening rain. I went out today and planted some bedding plants in the rain! My mum had brought some round and left them on my drive. I found some little pots from the shed and around the house and potted them all during my dinner time. They should be large purple flowers which should brighten up my garden. I can in and had a cup of tea with my dog Lola. She is staring at me for a walk now so I may have to go out in the rain again soon. I have also been updating the school Facebook page this morning, answered emails and updated the class page with some more information on our English and maths page. This afternoon I am going to make some phone calls to some families in the class to see how they're all doing! It may be you! Mrs Crapper

It's a boy!
I hope you are all safe and well at home and making the most of the amazing dry and bright weather! I am missing all of the teachers, parents and children at school so much, it feels very strange not being so busy! I have been updating the class pages, updating the school Facebook, answering all of your lovely emails and ringing parents and their families. Please don't forget to email me at email@example.com and I will answer you as soon as I can!
I have been busy sorting my spare room ready for baby. There's still some time yet but as you know, I like to be organised! I have done some bits in my garden and have been on lots of walks with my dog, Lola. I have also been trying out some new recipes and cooking different things at home.
Today I went to hospital for my 20 week scan. I had to go on my own as the hospital are trying to minimise people coming into the hospital. Everything was fine and we're having a baby boy! I am very excited now and have been quite lucky with feeling well during this time.
I can't wait to see you all now and hear what you have been up to. Some of my Year 3's could be as tall as me when we get back! Hopefully it's not too long now guys, stay safe and well, Mrs Crapper
Isolation week 4
During my break from my laptop I hoovered my shed! Boredom has struck and Ben is trying to make a man cave for his new dart board.
