This week, we are continuing to learn about fractions. We are starting with fractions greater than 1. Watch both of my videos and then have a go at the activity below. Don't forget - there is a challenge activity too.
Today, we are going to be reading about a famous author called Roald Dahl. Before you read the article about him I would like you to write down in your exercise book:
After, I would like you to choose one of the three articles below about Roald Dahl and his life (remember to challenge yourself). Whilst reading the article, I would like you to circle/highlight/underline any unknown words. You then need to find out what these words mean. Additionally, I would like you to list the word class (e.g. noun, adjective, verb, adverb). If you are confident that you know what all the words mean, I would like you to choose 5 words, at least, that you think you friends might not be sure of and define them.
For example:
The gruesome giant
gruesome - this means to cause repulsion or horror
Word class - adjective (as it is being used to describe the giant)
It is Monday, and therefore it is spelling test day. Please remember to complete these without copying from your spelling list - Thanks
