Harthill Primary School

‘A school at the heart of its village’

Mrs Perkins Y5/6

Who's who?

A huge well done to our class!

After a busy Spring term, I want to say thank you and well done to all members in our class: Y5s for being supportive of the Y6s and Y6s for all of the hard work, effort and determination that you put into your learning in the run up to SATs (Boosters and lesson time). With only one half term left, it's time to focus on prepping for High School life as well as life in the last year of primary school. Please feel free to see me if you begin to have any worries or concerns about the changes that will happen in the next half term - I'm here to help.

Our class focus text is Berlie Doherty's novel which is set during Victorian London:

As well as reading the other books written by Berlie Doherty, why don't you challenge yourself this term to read all of our 'additional must reads'? Recommend your favourite to peers, share your thoughts with me or other members of staff in school and read other books by the same author (local libraries will locate and order the book for you if it isn't in).
Don't forget, you can still read Autumn and Spring term's additional must reads:

Father's Day Parodies - Happy Father's Day 2019!
Our class worked hard to re-write lyrics to some of our favourite songs in order to create a parody for Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles, Step Dads and Father-like figures for Father's Day. Several songs were chosen: Girls like you, Sicko Mode, Sad, Old Town Road and The Middle; these were performed at the Father's Day service at All Hallows Church. Here they are, if you couldn't make it!

Monday 12th November 2018 - Class Assembly for parents/carers and family members

What an amazing assembly commemorating 100 years since the end of WW1! I would like to congratulate our class and say a huge WELL DONE to all for all of their efforts. I was so proud of everybody.

Attached is the presentation, created by members of the class, which was used in our assembly
