The children in Cherry Class have enjoyed an exciting 15 week journey caring for frogspawn and watching it develop into froglets. This hands-on experience gave the children a wonderful opportunity to observe the life cycle of a frog up close and deepen their understanding of nature. Phew! After a hunt around the whole school and speaking to witnesses, Cherry have found Mrs McGrath's missing bag! After reading 'The Queen's hat' last week, they will now be writing their own story called 'Mrs McGrath's bag'. Well done Cherry!

This week we have experiences sub zero temperatures and have noticed lots of changes to our weather and the outdoor environment. We found ice in our mud kitchen area and we decided to fill some different vessels overnight to see what would happen. We tried to submerge items into the water to freeze over night and found that some would float! We used tools to break the ice and moved things into the sun to thaw.
