As School Council, we organise certain events to raise money for different charities. In the past we have raised money for Sport Relief, Children in Need, Water Aid, Red Nose Day and many more. We always enjoying fundraising days and pride ourselves in the contributions we make.
Also we act as tour guides for new pupils because we make sure they know where the different places are in school.
This year we are discussing how to improve our playtimes and dinnertimes; how can we make them even better?
Our previous successes include:
Our school Councillors know a lot about the different places around our school, here are a few of them;
The Bug Bench
Here you can sit to either have a break or explore the different wildlife using Mrs Bothma's Mini beast box.
The Leaf and Dragon Fly Table
This can be used to sit and talk to your friends but we also use it for our outdoor learning. For example if we want to sketch outside.
The Quiet Area
This is used for playing quiet games but also the legendary game of 'Tiggy House' is held here!
The Maze and The Pirate Ship
Here you can explore your creative side and become a pirate out to sea. It is usually in the summer when we go on the maze and can be used for tig and hide and seek.
Ball Skills Area
During break times and lunch times there is the opportunity for each class to play a game of hockey. We have coloured sticks so you can decide teams.
The Ball Court
The Ball Court is the only place to have a full game of football and cricket. This will stop people getting hurt. However we also play basketball and sometimes Tennis. We are very lucky to have Active1 coaches who help us prepare for tournaments.
This is where people can sit and is next to the Quiet Area but a lot of people use it to walk round!
If you have a problem...
If you start to feel unsafe or anything makes you feel uncomfortable, please come and find one of us or a teacher you can trust. You can also talk to Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Lunchtime Supervisors or any other member of staff you like speaking to. It's important to share your problems because then they can be sorted out.
