‘A school at the heart of its village’

Science Week

Last week was Science Week and we were excited to learn about the Bloodhound SSC car which is attempting to break the land speed record.

In groups we build cars with different shaped fronts. We used nets of 3d shapes so each car was different.

We then tested or vehicles to see which travelled furthest down a ramp.

We found that the car with the square based pyramid front went the furthest. We thought this might have been because of the pointy shape.
