A message from your teachers.
This is it. Your final week in Y5. It is not how we wished the year would end and we are both truly disappointed that we have not been able to welcome you back into school before the summer holidays. We miss you all and are sorry that the pandemic has spoiled the end of the academic year for our lovely class. We are looking forward to meeting with Mrs Perkins next week and telling her all about you; your capabilities, what makes you tick and what you will need support with. She is a fab Y6 teacher and we are sure you will have great fun in her class.
Don't forget to send in a photo of your learning this week to the usual address.
Have a wonderful summer
Mrs Naylor and Mrs Booth
Task 1 - Watch the clips below. Have a think about previous Andy and the Odd Socks songs from Anti Bullying weeks. What would you like them to include in this years song? Write it down and email to Mrs Booth and Mrs Naylor who will forward it on to them. Maybe your idea will be featured in their next song!
Task 2 - Plan a letter introducing yourself to Mrs Perkins. She would love to know a little bit about you, what your life has been like during the pandemic and what are your interests including favourite films and music.
Task 3 - Write your letter and email it to email@example.com
All of this week's reading comprehensions are differentiated therefore you will need to select which one is suitable for your ability.
There are a mixture of maths tasks this week all linked to measures. Task 1 focuses on different units of measurement, task 2 on the different ways we measure time and the final maths task looks at reading and interpreting timetables. As ever the White Rose Maths website has video clips to support you with each of these tasks.
