Maths this week is linked to fractions. The videos to support each task are on the White Rose Learning website. All the worksheets you need can be found below. For each task there will be a worksheet from White Rose plus the answer sheet. In some cases there is an extension document for those who wish to try it. The extension document below (if you choose to have a go at it) contains 3 levels of activity, you only need to do one. BBC Bitesize also provide further opportunities to develop your understanding of many different areas of maths if you want to have a look.
Please continue to use Times Table Rock Stars once or twice a week if possible https://ttrockstars.com/home

Reading
This week is different to the last two weeks. You have written comprehensions to complete. Select an appropriate level based on your ability please. If in doubt, start with 2 star for task 1 and decide where to go from there for task 2 and 3. The answers are included within the documents.
Remember the steps we take to complete a comprehension
1. Read the whole text
2. Identify words you do not understand and find out what they mean (Use the context of the sentence or an online dictionary)
3. Read each question carefully, identifying the key words so that you are sure what it is actually asking of you
4. Skim and scan for your answer and, if you've been able to print, highlight the answer. If not, point out in the text where the answer is. Then read the whole sentence to double check.
5. Record your answer
Writing
This week you will be completing Yash's diary. You will continue to focus on sentence openers. Not every sentence opener has to be an amazing one, just make sure that you are varying them so it's not repetitive and more enjoyable to read.
