Spr4.4.3 - Making shapes

Making shapes by White Rose Maths

I have allocated you a quiz on - please can you ensure that all other unfinished quizzes are completed too.

Once you have completed your quizzes, complete the short reading comprehension below.

For your first activity in English today, I would like you to go back through your writing and respond to any feedback I have given.  Then, I want you to go through your writing and identify (by underlining, maybe in different colours) the following:

  • Fronted adverbials
  • Adverbs
  • Adjectives
  • Subordinating Conjunctions
  • Coordinating Conjunctions
  • Pronouns
  • Speech

Please underline 3 examples of each.  Whilst you are doing this, check if you have punctuated your writing correctly.

Once you have completed this, watch my video - I wanted to show you how to edit some writing.  Now, you can become the teacher!  I want you to continue editing my work - make improvements.  Think about the skills above, have I used them?  Could I have added in some better adjectives?  Have I punctuated my speech correctly?  Have I used varied sentence openers?  Does my writing make you want to read more?
