Overall Aim

“Every child will enjoy increased participation in sporting activities and develop a healthier lifestyle”

 

Harthill Primary School will use its Sports Premium Grant to improve PE and Sports participation across the school and will promote a healthy lifestyle for all children.

Sustainability Statement​

Through allocation of Sports Premium we ensure sustainability of impact through:

- increased confidence levels of staff to teach PE through employment of our Sports Coach, Mack. 

-opportunities for playing a range of sports both in and out of school

-2 PE sessions and a daily Active 15 embedded in the timetable

-regular CPD for staff and development of the PE curriculum 

-staffing capacity to support active breaks and lunches

The 5 key indicators that schools should expect to see improvement across:

  • The engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity

  • the profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement

  • increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport

  • broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils

  • increased participation in competitive sport
