Cherry class nurtures frogspawn into froglets
The children in Cherry Class have enjoyed an exciting 15 week journey caring for frogspawn and watching it develop into froglets. This hands-on experience gave the children a wonderful opportunity to observe the life cycle of a frog up close and deepen their understanding of nature. Mrs McGrath's missing handbag
Phew! After a hunt around the whole school and speaking to witnesses, Cherry have found Mrs McGrath's missing bag! After reading 'The Queen's hat' last week, they will now be writing their own story called 'Mrs McGrath's bag'. Well done Cherry!

Church Visit
Sycamore and Cherry visited All Hallows Church today as part of our RE learning. Reverend Gary told us all about how the church is used, the features of the church and the special jobs he does. We also got to see some of his special clothes and even try them on!

Freezing fun for FS2
This week we have experiences sub zero temperatures and have noticed lots of changes to our weather and the outdoor environment. We found ice in our mud kitchen area and we decided to fill some different vessels overnight to see what would happen. We tried to submerge items into the water to freeze over night and found that some would float! We used tools to break the ice and moved things into the sun to thaw.

Celebrating Diwali
To celebrate Diwali we created bright and colourful rangoli patterns. We used paper plates and oil pastels to create Diya lamps. We used buttons to count out different amounts into colourful Rangoli patterns in our tough tray. Mrs Hamilton used her cooking skills and a great recipe to make coconut Burfi. Once it had cooled and set we all had a taste! We all enjoyed our afternoon celebrating Diwali. We finished our day by taking part in some Diwali dancing in the hall where we
