Chinese New Year

We've been celebrating Chinese New Year all week and doing various fun activities through out, such as taking part in a live assembly, making paper lanterns and doing exercises that are typical for children at school in China. Today Sycamore learned a new skill - Chinese calligraphy! We found out about the history of Chinese characters for writing and had a go writing our own using special calligraphy brushes and ink on rice paper. Though it was quite tricky (and messy) we all did a really good job.
