Birch at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Although a chilly start to the trip, Birch class showed their resilience and ventured around the park developing their sketching skills and drawing techniques. The children shared their favourite sculpture and artist with a great understanding of the emotions each sculpture captured. The afternoon was creative in the screen print workshop and the children completed some fantastic nature prints using leaves that they had collected on their morning walk. Birch class had a fabulous time and a big thanks to the Educational artists at YSP for the welcoming and supportive atmosphere, providing the children with a day they won't forget!
