Birch class has a fun packed day celebrating the continent of Asia and learning about Russian food, language and people. The children arrived dressed in the clothes they felt shows their own culture and the day was filled with food tasting, objects of interest, information research and quizzes, and a national folklore story to music. They even completed a maths lesson saying their numbers in Russian!

Although a chilly start to the trip, Birch class showed their resilience and ventured around the park developing their sketching skills and drawing techniques. The children shared their favourite sculpture and artist with a great understanding of the emotions each sculpture captured. Birch class were extremely excited to be invited to experience Skills Street at Gulliver's Valley and to meet some of the Royal Family in person! The children were astonished that they could speak to their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, who asked them questions and joined in with their activities.
