To the moon and back!

Chestnut had a great time exploring space and investigating the moon. It was very exciting and interesting to see the moon up close, we had a rare chance to examine moon dust, meteorites and crystals. The children loved finding facts and exploring theories to discover if the moon is actually made of cheese!

We loved sharing the story Whatever Next! by Jill Murphy, imagining what it would be like to have a picnic on the moon. The children were busy in the creative area making space crafts which we launched outside and we had a great time carrying out our science experiment to create craters on the surface of the moon.
