Science club with Mrs Crapper

At Harthill Primary School, children in the science club recently engaged in a colorful and exciting experiment to explore the concept of dissolving with Mrs Crapper. Using Skittles, the children were able to observe how the sweets vibrant colours bled out into the water, demonstrating how certain substances can dissolve and disperse into a liquid. As the Skittles dissolved, the children discussed the science behind the process, learning about solubility and how different materials interact with liquids. The hands-on activity not only made the club fun and memorable but also helped the younger children better understand the ideas behind dissolving in a visual and interactive way.

Next week we plan to continue our work on dissolving.
